    Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt ( TIPSS )

    TIPSS is a minimally invasive procedure done for patients with liver cirrhosis who have abnormal accumulation of fluid in the abdomen ( ascites ) or repeated bleeding. It involves creation of bypass within the liver to reduce liver pressure.
